How do I lock a stamp in its parking position?

Press down handle A and while doing this press on rectangular button of
cover B.

The locking mechanism is integrated into the cover of the stamp. The cover has a rectangular button integrated. You may lock the stamp in two positions. The lower position is to replace the ink pad or to turn the print wheels. The upper position is to release the pressure from the inkpad while the stamp stands idle e.g. for the night.
Some REINER models feature a metal locking plate sitting inside the outer frame, or some older designs have a locking pin placed at the spring tube below the handle.

How do I unlock a stamp from its parking position?

Press down handle A – stamp is free.
(Press back locking pin – e.g. model TA, K1)

How do I adjust the number or date?

The print wheels of the stamp may be adjusted with the stylo that is enclosed with each new numbering machine. (A pen will do as well). Lock stamp in lower parking position and turn wheels with stylo into desired print position.
REINER date stamps feature a lever mechanism to move the date forward day by day. This lever may also be used to adjust the setting of the wheels. Just press down the lever.

How do I remove preceding zeros from a printed number?

Most REINER numbering machines feature retractable zeros. Thus a number can be printed without preceeding zeros.
e.g. 000123 → _ _ _123

Lock stamp into lower parking position. Use a stylo or pen. Turn wheels that should not print zero to the zero position. Move wheel slightly back and forth in zero position and press onto the zero. When wheel is twisted into right position it will retract and the zero drops back. This will work for all wheels except the unit wheel. During numbering, wheels will be turned and moved back to their printing function. You may do this manually by turning a wheel to “1”.

Exceptions:

Mod. B6, B6K and ND6K have no drop wheels. You may remove the zero from printing by turning the wheel “half way” to “1”.

Note: Date stamps do not feature wheels that can retract.

How do I set a date?

REINER date stamps in general feature a lever to set the date. Just press the lever to turn the wheels. Alternatively use a stylo and refer to “How do I adjust the number or date”

End of month and change of month:

Advance wheels by lever from last day of the month up to fourty!
When fourty is reached, the month will advance automatically.
Press once again to set day to first of the month.

Electric Stamps

Can I choose character size on MultiPrinter (780,785,787) or on JetStamp (790,791,792)?

No, the character size is 1/8″ and you can only select whether you want the characters wider or more condensed during custom programming.

How many lines of copy and how many characters per line will an electric machine print?

Please note that spaces count as characters.
MultiPrinter models 780 and 785 prints one line – maximum of 35 characters
MultiPrinter model 787 print two lines – maximum of 35 characters
JetStamp models 790, 791, and 792 print 2 lines – maximum of 20 characters
per line.

Yes, numbering sequences from repeat to 99x can be set by the user.

Can my electric machine print anywhere on the page?

The JetStamp series including the speed-i-Jet model 798 can print anywhere on the page.
Model 880, too, can print anywhere on the page.
The MultiPrinter series can print anywhere with the exception of dead center.

What machine should I get if I will need to change the information it prints? Can I program the change myself?

The MultiPrinter series would require your ordering a new chip card which we would have
to program. With the addition of the optional control unit, certain  programs on  models 785
and 787 can be modified by the end user. The JetStamp series would require you to send
the machine to us for reprogramming. All jetStamps now come with PC easy software for
the enduser. The speed-jet 798 comes with a program software as well.

Can my electric machine go through copies?  How many?

The JetStamp series cannot go through copies since they are inkjet printers.
The MultiPrinter series including model 880 with die plate are dot-matrix and all can go through 3-6 copies, depending on the thickness and quality of the paper.

Can my electric machine print on glass, plastic, metal or any other slick surface?

Only the JetStamp MP Series with Quick Dry Ink cartridge can do the job.

I do not want a desk model; I need to carry the machine with me into the courtroom.

Portable JetStamp model 790 with rechargeable AAA batteries has unlimited mobility.

My friend has to carry it in the hall all day at the hospital.  What do you suggest?

The speed-i-Jet 798 has unlimited mobility like the JetStamp 790 but has the ability to fit in your pocket.
